Celebrated the New year's eve at Beejal and Keiths,
Beejal cooked a scrumptious meal, had a lot to eat,
Tender Malai Koftas melting in our mouths,
A lovely chicken in green gravy with an aromatic pulao, we couldn't do without.
I cooked a mutton dish, mangalorean style,
After all this food, won't be eating for a while.
Watched the Burj Khalifa with the fireworks go alight,
a spectacular display at sharp midnight.
Dubai was filled with fireworks, lights and hustle and bustle ,
A great way to start 2012.
It was a lovely experience travelling in the metro at one,
Packed with people after their night of celebration and fun.
Streets were filled with merriment and cheer,
Mikhail wide awake trying to wish us "Happy New Year".
So a new year we have entered once again,
Wonder what resolutions to make and from bad habits to refrain,
But for now just excited to celebrate a brand new year,
May God bless us and keep us happy in our home in Dubai, here.
