When people say keep in touch,
Does it mean not at all or don't say too much!!
Are they trying to say so, to sound polite,
Or do they really mean it and are trying to be plain nice.
Some of the "keep in touch" seem genuine and some are not,
Some are filled with warmth and some suffer from memory loss.
When we do "keep in touch", sometimes people don't have the decency to reply
Are we supposed to ponder and wonder why??
Yes, they may be too busy and pre-occupied,
But they must not forget that, there's also a human being on the other side.
When people have mood swings, their silence, how do we comprehend,
When we are not face to face sitting at the other end!!
When we talk too much, some people think it's not right,
When we don't talk at all, some people think they're being judged or we hold them in spite.
I'm still trying to understand " keep in touch" , these three funny words,
I've heard them many times before, but from some people it does sound weird.
The world may be getting closer with advanced telephony,
But those who don't want to keep in touch should come with a sign
"Please do not disturb or contact me!!"
