A Christmas Carol to my son

Christmas is round the corner and Santa is on his way,
With lots of toys for children all stocked up on his sleigh.
You better learn to listen, to what your mother has to say,
But if you've been a bad boy and if you've misbehaved,
Santa won't bring you any presents on a snowy Christmas day.

You must learn to finish all your meals made lovingly for you,
Or Santa won't get you your toy train as he had promised you.
You must remember your manners and not forget your 'P's and Q's,
Learn to put your clothes in place and even untie your shoes.

But if you've been a good boy, obedient and polite,
Santa will bring you presents well before midnight.
Toy train, cars, a cycle will circle the tree around,
And maybe a lil labrador pup from the dog pound.
So son, please be a good boy and do it not for me,
But for Santa and the toys all kept below the Christmas tree.
